E-Learning course on fair procurement
After a successful first run of the e-learning course on fair procurement which took place from 07.04.-25.05.2014, Südwind implemented the second run between 23.02.–10.04.2015.

The six week e-learning course with the title “Sustainable and social-fair public procurement – but how?” aimed to answer questions which public and private buyers have concerning sustainable consumption, e.g. which products are “high risk” products concerning labor rights violations in production countries and concerning ecological questions. It also offered legal advice how to implement social criteria in tenders and showed various good practice examples from all over Europe.

Multiplier trainings and workshops on Fairtrade and public procurement
Several multiplier trainings, workshops, breakfast events and face-to-face trainings were conducted in all partner countries to promote Faitrade, the Fairtrade-Town initiative and fair procurement among municipal operators, local entrepreneurs and interested stakeholders.

TriNet Study tour to Ghana 18.01.–31.01.2014
2 weeks Fair Trade study tour to Ghana for staff and experts to meet and work with fair trade producers and farmers. Focus was on Fairtrade, supply chains and mechanisms for collaboration.
The Ghanaian best practice is be used for further work on FT promotion by the study tour participants.
